Life Science Fun: Studying Cells

One of my favorite topics to cover in my Life Science class is CELLS! There are just so many engaging activities you can do with the kids. Here are a couple ideas that I’ve thought of, and I’m sure the list will continue to grow (perks of being a teacher… we never stop learning!)!

1) Cell Book Project (my favorite!)

2) Edible Cells

We used candies to represent different cell parts. Students needed to correctly label and describe the function of each part before they could eat it!

3) 3D Cell Models

I work at a low-income school so it was difficult for students to purchase supplies for something like this. Super fun, though!
